When Food & Beverage Magazine reached out to learn more about our story, I reflected on one of the most meaningful moments in my time representing Ootopia: when Dr. Selina Wang and her research team at UC Davis tried our olive oils.
I didn’t send those bottles seeking an endorsement. I sent them because I was frustrated trying to find people who truly understand premium olive oil — those who value freshness, varietal character, and scientific truth over marketing claims. Connecting with a team that studies olive oil at a molecular level was both humbling and affirming.
To know that our oils resonated with her team, and to be recognized by respected critics like Emily, reinforces what Ootopia stands for: honesty, balance, and exceptional flavor drawn from the land itself.
As Ootopia’s North American Brand Ambassador and importer/distributor, I’ve had the privilege of introducing these oils to chefs, retailers, and home cooks across the U.S. Many are surprised by how distinctively elegant and balanced our Manaki varietal is — a reflection of its Peloponnese heritage and the dedication of the producers behind every harvest.
Being named among the top products of fall by Food & Beverage Magazine is a tremendous honor — but more importantly, it’s a reminder that authenticity and quality still matter.
